About
Miriam Gambino
Born and raised in Palermo, her passions include nature, travel, yoga, cats, and puzzle weeks. She enjoys spending time by the sea with friends...
...working as a designer in the publishing field, she has been creating content for children for over ten years. Currently, she is the author of the French series "Eugénie et les mystères de Paris", a collection of three volumes, written by Eric Summer and published by Éditions Glénat.
Over the years, she has maintained collaborations with Italian publishing houses, illustrating fiction and primary school books (Rizzoli, Atlantyca, Eli - la Spiga, Rusconi, Fabbri). Her latest project, "Magiche Sirene", a trilogy of stories written by Rosalba Troiano, is set to be released in July by Giunti editions.
Her passion for drawing has allowed her to explore various aspects of her city and collaborate with them. Among these are the School of Comics, where Miriam was educated and currently teaches comics, historical genre, and illustration; the Glifo editions, and the Dudi bookstore, with whom she organizes drawing workshops for children; and the cultural association neu-nòi - spazio lavoro, a co-working space, which promotes cultural events in the heart of the historical center.
In June 2023, Miriam will inaugurate her premiere exhibition "Inspired Scribbles", a selection of sketches created over the last five years, inspired by the words of poets and songwriters she adores.
